There's something new happening in the desert...
Permaburn is a remote square mile of virgin land 60 miles north of Susanville and 75 miles west of the playa. It's about to be used to store and develop art for Burning Man as well as provide support for theme camps with similar ideals year-round.
To introduce northern Nevada and California to this wonderful opportunity, they are hosting a VERY free music / camp-out / art festival called First Ashes at the site June 13th and 14th.
